The Exclusive North Seal River Lodge—Northern Manitoba, Canada

Chances are, if you find yourself in this inimitable locale, it’s not just because you love fishing. Yes, there are vast amounts of really, really, big fish. But your trip to North Seal River Lodge is also about adventure, discovery and luxury.

From the moment you step off the plane and onto our private runway you’ll sense the difference. Unlike other lodges with 30-60 people, the North Seal River Lodge is designed to be an exclusive experience accommodating just 24 guests. This means, that besides staying in deluxe cabins and dining on delectable creations from our chef, you will enjoy personalized attention to every detail of your trip from the Ganglers and their staff.

Of course, fishing is THE priority. Our main lodge on the shores of Egenolf Lake caters to whatever kind of fisherman you already are, and nudges you to become the fisherman you’ve always wanted to be. It offers exclusive access to over 24 different lakes. Whether you’re looking to haul in trophy pike or try your hand at fly-fishing for arctic grayling, Egenolf Lake is the perfect place to begin and end your quest each day.

Trophy Species
Whether you are a die-hard northern pike hunter, lake trout fanatic or just like to sample all of the menu, we have a plan for you to take home the memories of a great fishing adventure. Our lakes are teeming with trophy fish in all of these species. While these core four are what guest rave about there is the occasional trophy whitefish or burbot. Let us know what your specific fishing desires are and we will help design a trip to accomodate them.

Internet Extraordinaire.

Gangler’s new satellite internet service was a big hit in 2006. Initially many guests had mixed reservations about the service, wishing to keep hi-tech out of the bush. Once they tried it, it proved invaluable and allowed guests to stay on top of important business and personal details while enjoying their trip. Having this service truly allows guests to unwind and experience a week trip without worry of weather.
Gangler’s Internet service is unique among lodges. We hotwired the ENTIRE camp. Each cabin not only has wireless but its own land line. The wireless capability actually extends out to the front benches overlooking the shoreline.
At Ganglers’, we are forever improving the ideal Canadian fishing experience.

  Fall fishing now offered.

Our first designated fall fishing excursion was a blast. We offered two weeks during mid-September. The lake trout spawn was a bit slow going but once it clicked in around Sept. 9, all hell broke loose. The fishing was fast and furious, with trout by the dozens attacking the lures. On the reefs, in the rivers, the fish concentrations were fabulous. During this spawning period, their coloration becomes almost char-like and they are beauties to catch. Several trophies were taken, the largest 39”. Old friend writer Peter Mathiesen from Field and Stream visited us the first week and did well fishing exclusively with flies. Beautiful colors, great and unique fishing, join us for the September 2007 showdown with the Seal’s spawning lakers.
