The 2006 season featured a big change for us - aircraft owned by our sister company, Outfitters’ Air. Outfitters’ purchased two of the greatest floatplanes made – the DeHavilland Otter and Beaver. We immediately converted our Otter to the finest in the North, the DeHavilland Turbine Otter. With the installation of the Rolls-Royce of engines, the Pratt and Whitney PT-6 34 and piloted by top Otter pilot Myron Ridley, it is a potent combination of plane and pilot. The Turbo also boasts a newly revised set of stretched Otter floats, the 8100s. These floats are much bigger than the standard floats offering the highest grade in stability and buoyancy and have great float compartments for easy storage. Our Beaver also offers special mods and the largest set of floats available. All maintenance and management is performed by Jackson Air of Flin Flon, tops in their field.
